Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 May 2026
1. Who we are and what we do
FlightDeck CV ("we", "us", "our") provides an online tool that lets aviation professionals build region-specific CVs and download them as PDFs. By creating an account or otherwise using this site you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Contact: info@flightdeckcv.com
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. The service
FlightDeck CV is an online CV-building tool. You build a CV using our templates, preview it on screen, and download it as a PDF. The downloaded PDF is yours to use however you like.
We provide the service "as is" and may add, change, suspend, or remove features at our discretion. We try to give meaningful advance notice for changes that meaningfully affect existing users, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
4. Promotional offers
From time to time we run promotional offers (for example the "First 100 CVs free" launch promotion). Promotional offers are subject to additional terms which we'll publish alongside the offer. We reserve the right to end any promotion at any time, with existing claimed offers honoured.
5. Payment
Outside any active promotional offer, downloading a CV costs the amount displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase (currently USD $9.99 per CV, with reduced pricing for additional template variants of the same CV within 72 hours of the first purchase). Payments are processed by Stripe; refunds are at our discretion and generally not available for completed downloads, except as required by your local consumer protection law.
If you are an Australian consumer your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these Terms. If you are a UK or EU consumer your statutory rights are likewise not affected.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to submit data you do not own or have permission to use (including someone else's personal information).
- Use the service to misrepresent yourself or another person to an airline or recruiter.
- Attempt to bypass payment, automate downloads, scrape the site, or access another user's account.
- Upload malware, illegal content, content that infringes another party's intellectual property, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or unlawful in your jurisdiction.
- Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the service, except to the limited extent permitted by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these rules.
7. Intellectual property
Our IP. The site design, source code, template layouts, copy, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of these without our written permission.
Your IP. Everything you enter into a CV — your personal details, employment history, photos, etc. — remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and render that content for the purpose of providing the service to you. We never licence or sell your CV content to anyone else.
Reviews. If you submit a review of the service we may display it on the site under your role / region label only (e.g. "Pilot · EASA") — never under your name or email. By submitting a review you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and remove it.
8. Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect and how we use it.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we provide the service "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
We do not warrant that the CV you produce will result in any particular outcome (interviews, job offers, regulatory approvals, etc.). Aviation licensing requirements vary by jurisdiction; you are responsible for ensuring your CV meets the requirements of the airline or authority you submit it to.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will FlightDeck CV, its operators, directors, employees, or affiliates be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, missed job opportunities, or reputational harm — arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the service; (c) content you upload that infringes a third party's rights or violates the law; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
12. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time via Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing us. We can terminate or suspend your account if we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 7 (IP), 9 (Warranties), 10 (Liability), 11 (Indemnification), 13 (Governing law) — will survive.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of New South Wales, except where your local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your jurisdiction of residence — in which case those rights are preserved.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms over time. If we make changes that meaningfully affect your rights or obligations, we'll notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the changes.
